With reference to your Letter dated the 17th ultimo I have it in command to acquaint You, for the information of Earl Grey, that the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have not dissented from the sanction which his Lordship proposes to signify to the Governor of Hong Kong for the arrangements for the extension of Police Jurisdiction to the whole Island, and for the erection of Coolie Stands reported in the Despatch from Governor Sir J. Davis of the 9th January last.
